Alright, I have some stuff to say about Lucerne. . .which is good.
Lucerne was terrific. I don't think neither Dave nor Cassidy had any clue what we were for. The only problem with Lucerne is that the three of us ended up spending as much as we had in the last three days. This is a small town not too far from Zurich that is surrounded by mountains on all sides. We had a day and a night there and took full advantage of our time. The town surrounds a lake, which is Lake Lucerne.
Cassidy started the trip off right by buying some Riccola
while Dave jumped into the Tobelrone. I, on the other hand, opted for the
healthy route and got coconut for the road. This was the beginning of my
diet. . .and the end of my diet. All in all, about a12 minute diet.
There is an old covered bridge which links the old part of
the town with the newer part. It is good. Here is a picture.
We then stopped into a little shop that sold kookoo clocks. We almost got
one until we realized that we didn't need one.
Dave started to talk to some local dog and we knew that it was time to leave. We made our way to the Lion Memorial which commemorates the Swiss Guards that were killed in 1822. I'm not sure if it was 1822, but 1822 sounds like a good year. We stood and looked at it. . .until the camera shutter clicked. We got the picture and took off.

Oh, and the name of the dog Rose was talking to was Jimmy Buddy. That
was his name. He was driving a 94 Corola.
For those of you who are actually reading these little excerpts, I've
obviously gotten tired of writing thought provoking material. Rather, in
this page and maybe the next couple, I will present you with some thought
provoking pictures and you do the thinking for yourselves.
Just to give the reader an idea of how this web page is
completed, I
am on a flight to Auckland, NZ right now as we speak. I have spent the day in
London and have been in the plane since 10:30 at night. Well, it is 6:30
am and I've been trying to stay up through the night so I might have an easier
time adjusting to the time change. The problem is that even though it's
the crack of dawn UK time, it's only 3:30pm in Auckland, NZ. I need
to somehow stay up to at least 6 or 7 pm NZ time.
What's funny is that on a flight of no less than 300 people, I am
the ONLY one who is awake. The light from my computer screen lights up my
row of seats and people are passed out all over the plane.
Lightweights. I'm slowly dying out and we'll see what happens. I
think even the pilot is asleep. See the thing is that everyone else is
asleep because they don't have a webpage. Typical. Well, onward and
upward.
We got on an over night train to Venice that would arrive in Venice in the morning so we could wake up early and hit Venice for the first half of the day.
