The fact that we made it to Greece is amazing.  We never would have thought to plan a trip to Greece but we are so happy that we did.  The idea all started in Berlin when we met a girl from Canadia told us that we HAVE to go to the Pink Palace in Corfu, Greece.  What?  Where?  Greece?  Who goes to Greece?  She convinced us that if were going to Italy that we should definitely make a side trip to Corfu, The Pink Palace.
Well, we pretty much decided that the next two weeks would be planned around making it to the Pink Palace.  After an eight hour overnight trip down to Brindisi, Italy, we got on a ferry that took us another eight hours to make it from the bottom tip of Italy to the island of Corfu.  Refer to the map at the European Adventure page. By the time we got to Corfu, we were exhausted.  It was about 7pm when the bus picked us up from the port and drove us to the Pink Palace.  We drove for about 20 minutes thinking "this better be good."  The second we made it over the cliff and could see where we were headed, we were happy campers.  This place looked unbelievable.

So, on seeing where were going to stay for the next four days, all of our nerves were settled and we were ready for a first night of quiet relaxation after about 20 hours of straight travel.  Almost quiet.

First Night. . .
