Last Day in Ireland. . .

We got back from Killarney around 2:00 and our first stop would be the Guinness Brewery.  The tour was very mediocre but there were some exhibitions that really stood out.  There was a short movie on how the old wooden kegs were made from craftsmen which was truly a display of skill.  Then they had a section that dealt with the advertising through the years as well as how Arthur Guinness was a god, yada yada.  This guy who invented Guinness was considered a god in this Brewstore, known as the "Hopstore" in Dublin.  People drink it like water in Ireland and Dublin especially.  We walked around for about 40 minutes and then the last part is where you get a free pint of Guinness on the top floor which overlooks Dublin.  There was U2 music playing in the background and it was something to not be forgotten.  We had a blast and then wrote a couple of postcards while we were up there.

After the Guinness Brewery, we walked around the city just to kill some time.  You see, our grand plan was to sleep in the Dublin Airport.  At this point we would truly be able to call ourselves "backpackers," so we knew it had to be done.

We walked past Christ Church which. . .is an old church.
And then to St. Patrick's which you may
have guessed, is another old church.
